For William's descent from William de Tourvile of Tourville, Normandy, Companion-in-Arms of William the Conquerer at Hastings in 1066 and his descent from Harald Hilditonn, King of Denmark and Jutland who was killed in Battle in 760, see File 4.
William was the third son but the first born, John, married but had no children and died before his father. It is assumed that the next son, Francic, died in infancy and William inherited the largest portion of the family estate.
For Extended Turville family back to Harald Hilditon, King of Denmark & Jutland, see File 30 - Extende Turville Family.
